Re: Fanfiction dealbreakers
(Anonymous) 2014-08-06 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)Aaaaargh yes. It's especially bad when you have a fic where the characters are really stoic and unemotional, and then you click on something and they're already together and they've gotten completely comfortable with each other. It's just like, no! I want to read about them breaking down their reserves slowly! That is what I am here for!

(Anonymous) 2014-08-06 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)Exactly. I mean I can see the appeal for some people, seeing their ship all happy together. But just let me know beforehand don't spring that on me unannounced.

(Anonymous) 2014-08-07 12:48 am (UTC)(link)Well, OP was complaining about the surprise established fics, which is something I agree with. It's something that's commonly labeled, and having an established relationship with no explanation is really jarring in a lot of cases.
Re: Fanfiction dealbreakers
(Anonymous) 2014-08-07 12:49 am (UTC)(link)It's just that one kind of fic is completely uninteresting to me and it's a little frustrating when I click on a fic thinking it's one thing and it's the other. I just have no interest in reading it, speaking purely personally.
