Yeah, I hate those too.

Random misogyny, especially when it's completely out of character.

Terrible dialogue. Stupid terms for body parts.

Not to mention excessive and inappropriate swearing. Characters with very precise and formal speaking styles using the word "figured" to describe anything not involving working out calculations.

Random misogyny is a thing for me too. One thing that particularly bugs me is when people in Potter fics make the Wizarding World more sexist than it actually is. It isn't perfect in canon by any means, but it it isn't stuck in medieval times in that sense either. Women have been headmasters and ministers of magic. The prejudice in the Wizarding World is against muggleborns and to a lesser extent half bloods. I hate it when people randomly add in arranged marriages and women not having any power as things inherent to the world when they aren't there.

+1 so much to that Harry Potter stuff.

UGH, yes! If anything, I always got the impression that the wizarding world was less sexist, since the books had references to Hogwarts headmistresses and female officials in the Ministry of Magic from time periods when women wouldn't have likely held such positions in the muggle world.

Stupid terms for body parts

On a related note, stupid names for the various bodily fluids. I've never laughed so hard as when I was reading an otherwise good medieval AU fic and had semen called "spunk." In the dialogue.

Spunk is such a moronic word. Seriously, what is wrong with "come"? Or just plain "semen"?

Spunk is a more common slang term than come where I'm from.

I like the sound of the word better, too.

Eh, medieval dialogue is hard. "Spunk" seems like a reasonable re-purposing of a later slang word to me.
