Character bashing, even if it is of a character I hate.

Fics that are basically an excuse for the authors to "fix" everything they see wrong with canon while bashing canon at the same time.

Grim, dark, edgy, and rebellious fics that do all those things without doing it well and where it is just edgy and rebellious for the sake of being edgy and rebellious. I see this a lot in Harry Potter fics. "Independent" Harry fics can work, but most of the time they really, really don't.
