I seem to fave stumbled into an abundance of free time, so sell me on some fic to read. Yours, someone else's, a favorite, a new discovery, finished or WIP'ed, I don't care. Open to all fandoms, except I have an irrational aversion to anime.

Gen? Rating? Kinks? I got a lot of bookmarks and a lot of good fics. Just want to know if you have any ABSOLUTELY NOTs.

I love gen. I'm not really looking for smut, but I'm okay with shipfic, and even some with sex, just no PWP. Or sexual violence. So, pretty wide parameters here.

Invisible Series [Sherlock] Awesome story where John can "turn" invisible. It is wonderfully woven into the events of the TV show.

Antigonish series [Sherlock] A horror fic (horror fic is sadly very rare) involving Slenderman.

Erik Lehnsherr and the Rats of NIMH [X-Men First Class] Erik meets a talking rat named Charles. There is a mystery afoot. Also, Charles if a talking rat. Which is awesome.

Seduction of Aviation [Cabin Pressure/Avengers, Martin Crieff/Tony Stark] THE PAIRING I NEVER KNEW I WANTED! And this author makes it work so, so well.

Tangled Webs [Teen Wolf] Peter kidnaps Stiles and runs away with him. Fairly realistic study of kidnapping, Stockholm syndrome, and the recovery (afaik).

Fortunate Son [Star Trek, McCoy/Kirk] An AU where McCoy was a doctor on Tarsus (instead of Kirk being there).

I got a lot of Marvel fics too. A lot. So if there is anything in particular you want, I can see if I have anything.

Another Brother by Avocado Love - a Gen fic.

An Avatar: TLAB fic where Zuko is found burned and with his throat cut by Sokka and Katara's dad when the Water Tribe men attack a Fire Navy ship, then is taken in and raised in the Water Tribe. The changes to canon and the struggles and relationships Zuko goes through are realistic and I love the way they describe bending and how it affects everything.
A WIP of 25 chapters, but where it's stopped could be read as an ending.

The Eyes Have It by Shana the Short - a Gen fic.

A Naruto fic that centers on a Sakura who is dealing with an unexpectedly developing doujutsu while on team with Kiba and Shino. She grows and changes a lot throughout the fic and the authors invented history for her is surprisingly complex and well done.
A Completed fic of 30 chapters.

Burning Brightly by Aishuu - A Gen fic.

A Hikaru no Go fic where Hikaru never went to the Go salon and Sai's spirit passed on after the online go game against the Meijin. Months later a grieving Hikaru shows up at the insei test, unnerving his bewildered family with the sudden change and the other insei with his unbelievable skill.
A WIP of 14 chapters, the last posted chapter leaves things at loose ends, but the story to that point is well worth reading.

I would do ridiculous things to get Another Brother finished, but I don't want to pester the author because she's been harassed by an entitled fan before on a different fic. Count this as a +1 for that.

Marry, Fuck, Kill (MCU/Avengers): Jane, Natasha, and Darcy play a casual game of Avengers-MFK that then spreads to all the ladies of SHIELD. Tony is desperate to know his stats, everyone wants to Marry Steve, some of the ladies go for Nat and she's like "Hell yeah give me the list", wth is up with the lady who picks the Hulk but not Banner...it's a lot of lols.

Two Gorram Days + rest of the series (Firefly): Jayne gets stuck alone with River for the titular two damn days, and oddly they get along quite well! This story uses the 'horseshoe nail' idea of small starting differences to change the course of the Firefly universe for the better. Some romance, some violence, a lot of family feels and triumphing of big damn heroes. includes some things I'd wanted more of, like friendship between Simon and Inara, and certain people NOT DYING because psychics can predict and prevent such things

Balance (Harry Potter): It starts with the teachers fighting a BALROG and only gets better from there. Inter-house unity, total badass professors, lots of cool ideas about spells and magic...the day is saved by dancing and jumprope and IT MAKES SENSE AND IS AWESOME seriously just read it..!

The Vodka Affair (The Man From UNCLE): Mark Slate get's stuck with the Russian. Dammit. But before the trip is over he finds out why Solo likes having Kuryakin for a partner. Figurative Hell and Literal High Water (SGA): IF you like SGA and/or Mag7 you probably already know Tipper; she writes some of the best gen/team/action fics there is. In this one, an extremely determined Rodney drags Keller through several natural disasters, mostly the hurricane, to bring help back to his team. Rodney's great, Keller's great, the team is great and their presence is felt even when they're 'off-screen'. Good times!
