Horrible writing style and OOCness wont make me backbutton out of a fic... Few things do.

If I don't like the pairing I might also character bashing might make me backbutton, but I am one of those people who just can't look away from horrible stuff so I will read it to see what happens.

As an example: I am 90 chapters into a wip that still hasn't improved much, but I am invested now so nothing will make me quit reading it, even if half the chapters are descriptions of clothes and the plot is a High School AU clearly written by an High School student who finds smoking, drinking and Emo/Punk/alternative music/lifestyle quite facinating, the plot on the other hand surprisingly well thought out and engaging.

In conclusion: If I am not fascinated or enjoy the story I just stop reading, but there is no set in stone rules for when that happens.

Same. Even if I don't click on everything (a summary or premise has to interest me), I can read a lot of crap because I can't look away from once I'm easily entertained. If I'm bored, I'm out.

The character bashing to make others look good, and ooc villainy of a character for, likely in the author's view, getting in the way of a ship is a bit much though. That's my general limit, because I may as well just find the character's anti tag.
