TOS fans who refer to the ship as "Spirk" make me cry.

No offense to you, OP. It's just a predilection of mine. But Kirk/Spock is so old that attaching newfangled namesmushes to the ship feels all kinds of weird to my ear.

I have to admit that while I detest portmanteaus usually, I make an exception for Kock because it amuses my inner child.

My mind keeps auto-correcting it to spork which I suppose would also fit as a portmanteau (and apparently another name for a spork is a foon? now that just sounds weird)
