Re: Is this weird?
(Anonymous) 2014-08-07 12:38 am (UTC)(link)ou underwear catches a lot of gross stuff during the course of the day, even if you don't think it does. Farts, pee residue, toilet tissue residue, discharge (if you don't wear light pads), body sweat, and even fecal residue (it's been said that everyone has some percentage of fecal matter in their undies).
I'm guessing you did wash between uses, though.

(Anonymous) 2014-08-07 02:52 am (UTC)(link)This response is what is utterly weird to me. Of course they washed between uses! Who wouldn't? It's kind of like saying that your family has communal crockery and cutlery, and someone immediately saying "You do know that you can share germs that way? And that food scraps can attract dangerous bacteria? But I guess it's okay if you wash them in between uses."
People who share underwear are not unaware of personal hygiene. They are just thrifty and/or pragmatic.
Re: Is this weird?
(Anonymous) 2014-08-07 04:04 am (UTC)(link)I'm just saying, you never know with kids. Kids can be gross.
And if you're sharing your underwear with someone else, trust me, you have a much different idea of personal hygiene than most folks. I would not share anti-microbial panties even with a twin. That's just a huge nope to me.
And I can't even imagine being a guy sharing tighty whities with a brother.
OP

(Anonymous) 2014-08-07 06:01 am (UTC)(link)*insert oblig comment about tongues having more bacteria than toilet seats*
*intert oblig comparison with oral sex*
Just because the idea of something is gross to you, doesn't actually make it gross on a scale of what contact/bodily fluid exchange humans have with each other on a regular basis. How is a piece of fabric touching one person's butthole, then being washed with hot water and soap, then touching my butthole any more gross or somehow likely to cause injury than someone masturbating with their hand, washing it thoroughly then shaking someone else's hand? Or, you know, fingering their butthole as the case may be? In other words, get a grip.
Re: Is this weird?
(Anonymous) 2014-08-07 06:49 am (UTC)(link)Also, way to not understand analogies. I was comparing the automatic assumptions made about sharing underwear/crockery (that they are or are not washed between uses) rather than how underwear/crockery is used (that they both are rubbed against your taint according to you).
So, congrats on that I guess.
