Over-use of epithets.

Over-use of the word 'lover'.

Porn dialogue that reads as though it was taken from actual porn and thus doesn't scan with how the characters typically speak.

Over-use of canon nicknames or a non-canon nickname that gets used everywhere.

Random character hate that comes out of nowhere and is no way supported by the canon at all.

Depends on the fandom tbh. In some fandoms yes, I backspace out of so much fic. In others, not so much. And it all depends on how much it's used as well, I can deal with the occasional use, but if it's used like ten times in a single paragraph I'm out.

Haha, yeah there's probably a bit of that with me too. 'I hate this word, but if I don't learn to at least tolerate it then I will drop lots of fic'. ;.;

that's not a bad song at all. when i read the overuse of 'lover', i always get "boombastic" by shaggy stuck in my head
