AUs that insist that two characters need to get together because they ship them in canon, even if their relationship in the AU is wildly different from their relationship in canon, and the author doesn't bother to give them a new AU reason to be ship-worthy. As if just because they share the same names as the canon characters, that's all that's needed to justify the ship.
