I find Sims 2 to be more fun to me than Sims 3, though I never had many expansion packs for the Sims 3 so that might be part of the reason. I love being able to have my own business in 2, I think that is my favorite expansion pack along with the university one.

I'm torn on sims 4. I love the CAS demo, but I will miss basements and pools and toddlers and all the little details that make the sims seem more real life. And the career tracks in 4 are ridiculous.

This is a really good way of putting it. :(

And the career tracks in 4 are ridiculous.

Ok, I've heard that they're leaving out basic career tracks like medicine, education, law enforcement, etc. which is a HUGE "wtf??", but I hadn't heard what they're actually putting in instead. Do you have any info on that?

Still welfycat, but replying from a different computer.

This is the list of careers that came from the creator's camp:

Painter: Master of the Real/Patron of the Arts
Secret Agent: Diamond Agent/Villain
Criminal: Boss/Oracle
Astronomer: Space Ranger/Smuggler
Culinary: Chef/Mixologist
Tech Guru: eSport Gamer/Start-up Entrepreneur

Some of those actually make sense. It's so inane to leave out others that make sense and limit the possibilities.

Will there be more? Or will there only be 8 fields and 16 career tracks? I want a game with 20+ careers for diversity in my Sims and their families. :( And I want all the careers that make sense to be there so it feels more realistic. Education, military, business, law enforcement, medicine, and sports are all really important Sims career tracks!
