Magic Knight Rayearth, Oh! My Goddess, Pokemon, Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing, Inu Yasha (this one's early 2000's), Orphen, Princess Mononoke, Record of Lodoss War, Sailor Moon. Slayers, Serial Experimental Lain, Escaflowne, Bubblegum Crisis, Martian Succesor Nadesiko, Dragon Ball Z, Cowboy Bebop...

I don't recognize the rest, but they do look familiar.

This secret is like a collage of my favourite shows. I wish Escaflowne got the recognition it deserves. Also, needs some Utena.

Ikr? Not to be an anime snob, but this shows where actually really good.

I didn't see much Escaflowne because we didn't have cable back then, but the bits I saw (when Hitomi pulled out the Tower card and then lied to the princess about it, and THEN shit hitting the fan at the wedding) kept me bitting my nails on the edge of my seat.

You watched it on cable? Guessing you had the dub then? I'm not a sub snob - I was once bashed on a mailing list for preferring the English VA for a role - but that dub was horrible.

These shows make me think of seiyuu image songs. Imagine if they had them today? Eren and Armin getting a 80s power ballad duet for Attack on Titan? The Free! fandom would lose their shit in glee if their boys got songs.

Ah, I'm not from the US, so having cable equals not having the four crappy national channels. But I did see the dub in spanish, which where really good imo. The new dubs are pretty meh at best.

Besides those, I also recognize El Hazard, Gasaraki, Gestalt, Sorcerer Hunters, Iczer and Maze. (The funny part is I haven't even watched half of those, I just remember constantly having to fast forward through the previews back in the old VHS days.)

I don't recognize the rest. :'( But I do remember back in the day, when the only way you could watch stuff was through VHS. And sometimes the VHS would look terrible because of how much use they got. GOOD TIMES!!!
