Yeah, I loved Thor 2 for the family dynamic I didn't even pay any attention to the villains. The character driven aspect of the Marvel movies has made them really enjoyable to me.

Even though I love Thor 2 I admit the primary villain is forgettable sadly. I wish they hadn't totally butchered the run time and given more of his back story. BUT I think people are way harsh on the film in general because the Thor films for me are definitely mostly about the family dynamic. I sort of lose a little bit of interest once Loki is gone in Thor 2 because I really like how he and Thor interact in that film. I think I'm one of the few people who doesn't want Loki to never appear again because I feel Thor's dealings with him aren't done, even though it'll break his heart...again.
