OI!!!

I happen to like the polyester--everything, paisley (i just loved that pattern when I was younger), jumpsuits are the business, and the vomit rainbow that existed was fabulous.

On another note, overalls should be required in everyone's wardrobe, not just farmers and country side workers.

I am seriously not being sarcastic. I just genuinely enjoy all that mess.

I agree with everything but the polyester here. Oh, and jumpsuits, but only because my body is not one that does well in jumpsuits.

Did you experience the 70s, live? Because trust me, there's nothing like being constantly surrounded by shiny, shiny polyester for years to make you haaaate the stuff. (FYI, most modern polyester doesn't look -- or feel -- anything like the stuff from the 70s.)

And the patterns tend to be a lot less horrific when you're only seeing a few of them at a time. Try going to high school when everyone is trying to be the latest disco king/queen, and each classroom contains a minimum of 30 different patterns in a dozen palettes, which were not carefully coordinated by a wardrobe stylist.

I'll agree that jumpsuits could look great. Unfortunately, if you're even the tiniest bit long in the torso they're going to look and feel all kinds of horrible at the crotch. :(
