I was snickering all through your description of Hutchus Angelicus but I actually laughed out loud at "As Long As He Needs Me." I think I might have read a real fic in which Starsky actually said these exact words after Hutch had been emotionally abusing him for the past three chapters.

You know what the freaky thing about these "species" are, though? They both contain a small grain of canonical truth. Just a small one.
