The fact is, it isn't universal at all. Male dominance may seem that way, but it's a relatively recent phenomenon and still hasn't reached every single human society.

I think you didn't get my point. In the Japan itself, the meaning of 'Yamato Nadeshiko' has been changes for years. It's not longer the so submissive women that has no power whatsoever.

Women needs to do the right thing for the family / friends / world and can pick her decision right. And what's wrong for a woman to be a feminine, loving and nurturing figure for a family if I may ask you?

Agreed! 'feminine' traits need more respect and loved in our society. That's part of the problem these days. Women think that to be 'equal' we have to be 'like men', which really changes nothing. It only reinforces male superiority.
