8. I have been one of those people who has shouted "GET OUT OF MY FANDOM."

And while I do agree that fandom is for everyone, the person that I said it to was moving in on it just for attention, not because she loves the series THAT MUCH. I felt that she was getting into the fandom for the wrong reasons, and everytime I saw her making some sort of comment related to the fandom just to get attention from me and my friends, I started to hate the fandom just a little more.

Who are you to decide what reason a person should get into a fandom?
If it's for attention, so what?
We're not talking brain surgery.
It's just fandom for fucks sake.
No one dies or gets maimed from it.

People who take fandom seriously enough to care what other people do or say are pathetic.

-shrug- I never said the reason was a good one. Call me pathetic if it makes you sleep more soundly at night. Maybe I am pathetic for not wanting yet another fandom to be ruined for me due to a bad experience dealing with someone, but I'm alright with that. My bitching got her to move on to another fandom to try and get fame from and now other people are getting pissy at her.
