The college I got my associate's degree from (that I relate way more to than the big-name school I got my bachelor's degree from) has its home-opener football game this month. In June, I requested the time off to go -- my first real trip back since I graduated a decade ago -- and now that it's almost here...I'm convincing myself not to.

Granted, part of it it is because it will make money tight, but also...is there anything worse than being the person sitting by themselves at a sparsely attended sporting event? I guess maybe playing in a sparsely attended sporting event, but still.

And forget walking up to random strangers all "can I watch the game with you?" That's just a no.
