When I was a teenage lesbian who didn't know any IRL lesbians, I loved reading stories that could, at best, be called "clunky issue-fic". It was a stage. So I think it's great that other people are reading and writing them for other identities. (As long as it doesn't come with a side-serve of "Character A is a trans man and if you read him any other way you're transphobic!!!" but that's tumblr for you.)
