I'm told Eyeshield21 is about football and pretty funny!

I could be wrong, but I believe Rookies is about baseball, and I know it was pretty popular, so you could look into that as well? (I'm not terribly knowledgeable about it though, sorry)

Ooh, I forgot about Rookies! Yeah, it's about baseball (a combination of baseball and delinquents manga, really) and it's quite good!

Ooo, football is the sport I'm least interested in BUT I think half the reason I'm so into these shows is the character development, ridiculous angst and shippy vibes, coupled with the intensity of the games themselves, so football would do just as well, I imagine. I will most likely watch them! Thanks for the suggestions!

When you said you don't like football, does that only goes for American-football? Cause Shoot! the manga, is a (non American-)football manga, and it's quite entertaining, too. The artwork isn't anything to write home about, but I like it anyway.

Right, right, I forgot about football elsewhere being what we call soccer. Oops...

Soccer is more my speed! I'm not overtly in love with the look of Kuroko's Basketball either but I'm still watching, so the artwork doesn't have to be amazing.
