Well two of them nicked the lead off the church roof just last week, and stole all the oak planters from the high street. The local police just started stopping all the vans with Irish plates and they found the lead, the planters, and a load of various stuff. Whenever anything gets thieved around here it is always the Irish. And they keep trying to claim Rockall, despite it always having been British. I'm just sick of the Irish. One of them has ruined British Airways too.

They also think Britain is worse than Hitler.

You think that your attitude is helpful to a complex situation? By assuming everyone Irish to be thieves or a bad lot, you are no better than the loud Irish xenophobes who do indeed think Britain is worse than Hitler.

There's a long and messy history that casts a long shadow. Things are only going to improve in that respect if people on both sides ditch their prejudices.

(I'm British btw. Just so you don't think I'm some American sticking my nose into the powder keg.)
