Elsa has horrible issues, yes. That's kind of the point. She was raised being told she had to hide her power because people would judge her as a monster, and that was the result. That's not remotely a lack of character development - that's pretty much how I felt growing up being told being gay was an abomination. I was just that neurotic.

And Anna doesn't have a 5 year old's understanding of the world - she has a romantic notion of love at first sight, and grew up isolated with no one really around to play with her. Outside of romance, she's impulsive and casual but hardly immature. Certainly not by disney princess standards, anyway. And any immaturity Anna has is basically confronted when she realizes her fairy tale is fictional.

Both of their characters basically culminate on their relationship with each other - Anna's isolation, Elsa's fear. When Anna saves Elsa, despite knowing she's a "monster", she becomes secure in herself. And in the end, Elsa is queen, and she displays her powers without the fear.

They are excellent characters, especially for a kids movie, and I'd laugh at anyone who claims any other Disney protagonist is somehow better.

"Music was shit" - okay. Now, how did the soundtrack's sales do? I seem to have forgotten, do you think you could do a quick google search for me?
