Elsa was both a plot device and a character. She definitely, absolutely had a character with a personality, flaws, and issues to resolve. Anna did have some development and obviously had to overcome her own flaws - childish romantic notions of love.

And I disagree, I thought their relationship was portrayed exactly as it needed to be.

IMO she wasn't a good character. She was barely there. I think people project a lot of these so called deep characteristics on her that aren't in the movie itself. Anna was a litte better because we got to see more of hee, but that's not saying much.

I disagree, their relationship as adults was barely touched on. You need more than a cute flashback to establish a relationship.
