I kind of agree with this. One time I saw someone bending over backward to give a character het ships, and the characters they were shipping him with included a girl he never interacts with in canon, a human version of his weapon, and a female version of himself. At this point, it's like, dude, just slash him already.

Or just not ship him at all! I only feel the need to ship characters where I see chemistry, so if you have to work really hard to make the ship work, I probably wouldn't be interested.
