They might not have cut out Arianne though, right?

Do we know for sure, yet?

Well, she wasn't announced for season 5 and in the description for Trystane he was said to be Doran's son and heir, so.... all signs point to no Arianne or Quentyn.

They haven't explicitly said that they cut her, but they announced pretty much all the other Martell/Sand Snake castings and they also called Trystane Doran's heir. So they're introducing Doran, Trystane, three Sand Snakes, they recast Myrcella so obviously that storyline is going to happen ... and apparently Arianne is not part of it. I'd be surprised if they still included her at this point.

How does the Queen Myrcella plot work without establishing the precedent that Arianne is Doran's heir? It's the only interesting Dorne plot!

Huh.

Maybe they're playing on the 'she was cut out of the line of inheritance because she's supposed to marry Viserys' thing and the 'Trystane is the heir' thing is a red herring.

Doubt it, though.

Wouldn't surprise me if the failtastic writers cut out one of the awesome female characters in favour of bulking the series up with love story bullshit between Myrcella and Trystane.

Goodness knows she won't be the only interesting, important character they appear to have cut so far. I'd sell my left leg for Euron and Victarion fucking Greyjoy at this point. >:(

...this means we won't get Darkstar either, doesn't it. ;A;

It seems pretty likely. I've heard people reason that maybe she hasn't been cast since she has a meaty role and they're trying to get a good/more expensive actress, but it seems like it's overly optimistic.
