Never said atheists can't be hypocrites, but some branches of Christianity (and I bet other religions, too, but I know those less intimately) are inherently hypocritical, in the sense that how they act is very much not Jesus-like.

Because to them believing in Jesus the way kids believe in the Easter Bunny is a free pass to be an ass. Nothing about actually following Christ's example or nothing, they've already got their ticket to Heaven.
