Well clearly to AYRT there are no gay people, everyone can be assumed to be hets, not that they are in any way homophobic, no sir.

Is this your real opinion or sarcasm? Either way, incorrect, unless one were to assume everyone is straight by default, which is in fact passively homophobic, or unless one assumes there are no canonically gay characters in any medium - which of course there are.

Plus the idea that canon is automatically superior? Huh, depends on the canon.
