Yeah, but those aren't fandom.

One of my good friends avoids the slash pairings of her fandoms, "not because I have anything against gay people, but, you know, THE BIBLE SAYS..." So the idea that people might feel the same way about "slutty" female characters isn't much different.

I had someone on my flist who got more and more religious over time and started saying how she couldn't be a fan of Natasha (this was around the time of Iron Man 2) because she's too slutty - her cover story mentioned her having been an underwear model in college, presumably to catch Tony's attention and hire her. Weirdly enough, she was a big Tony/Pepper fan and liked Steve/Tony, too.
