Worst taste detected.

How anyone could accuse a series with the relationship between Griffith/Guts/Casca, and arcs like The Band of Hawk, or Fairy Queen as having 'bad characterisation' escapes me.

And I mean the art is just phenomenal.

Seconded. Some of the battle scenes especially are just ... staggering.

(I admit I stopped reading around the time they got to Flora's and haven't looked at it since, though: the post-Eclipse volumes just ground mme down until I finally couldn't stand it anymore.)
