Re: Magic Possibilities
So then in a number-based system it would operate in a similar way. The universe, in such a system, would operate in a basically geometric, numerological way. The numbers and the systems of equations correspond directly to the nature of the universe. So for instance the numbers might all correspond directly to concepts - to beauty or wisdom, or to colors or seasons or different kinds of things - and then elaborated through manipulations and combinations of those concepts in different ways. Or perhaps you want to focus on equations as defining fundamental truths, instead of numbers, but that seems like it'd be trickier and harder to figure out, because I'm not sure that we see equations in the same way, you know?
Re: Magic Possibilities
If you look at physics, it basically boils down to using numbers and equations and math to describe the universe. Maybe Jaybie can use this view of the universe and the cosmos for their basis of magic.
Re: Magic Possibilities
I think there's a difference between the physics view and the magic view: in physics (at least as I understand, as someone who's not really a physicist or a mathematician) numbers, equations, and math are a description of the universe. In a lot of magical systems, numbers, and equations, and math are the actual way the universe works.
