Um…what?

I'm just saying that slash fans largely exist in their own bubble in fandom.

If you like a canon pairing, the existence slash fans isn't going to change what's on screen.

Nor are slash fans preventing you from talking to like-minded fans or reading fanfic or looking at fan art of the canon couple.

And it's certainly possible to engage with slash fans on other levels besides shipping (discussing the plot and special effects or the writing for example) where you might have more common ground. So I'm not seeing how anyone's being "put out by their peers."

Otherwise, the only solution would be to DEMAND that people ship the canon couple. Which just sounds entitled to me.
