I don't dislike Aang as a character, but him being super over powered and never having to deal with consequences was why I had trouble liking the series in general. Everything felt way too fucking easy and I never felt like the characters were in any real danger.

I also don't like stories where one character is "the one" despite side characters being intelligent and super powered themselves. It can be a hard trope to get away from, but some stories are worse about it then others and Aang definitely fell on the side of "God, why is he so powerful?"
