Or if they wtrite NO SLASH!!1 in summaries. I'm ok if they calmly write 'no slash'.

The best part is when they say that but still have an "Dude 1/Dude 2" tag for the story. If there's no slash, why do you have that tag? AO3 has friendship tags, so if that's what you're going for, use that, or just tag both characters without a relationship tag. If it's a romantic relationship with no sex, that doesn't really count as no slash.

Yes!
Also a personal pet peeve of mine is "could be read as slash". I prefer it to be tagged 'pre-slash'. I see why someone whould use it, but it's much more awesome when the author knows what exactly they want to tell in fic - friendship or pre-slash.
