I won't defend the quality of recent Disney, but I will say that if you think they only did great stuff 20+ years ago, your nostalgia goggles are on too tight.

Even a lot of stuff that is now considered part of the "Disney Renaissance" was not that great. Disney is like any other company, they have good films and they have bad films, they have up times and down times. The only different between it an other companies is that it became so massive that no huge flop could completely dismantle the company. They always want hits, but they can afford flops.
