This secret is odd, because I feel like what you're asking for isn't AU at all.

That said, those questions you've asked? They're hard to answer, and the answers would be hard to write. That's why most people don't tackle them.

I re-read and I think OP meant she wants fewer modern AUs - "why there aren't more non-"modern" etc. (Or something like that, I'm away from the secret now obviously.)
