He's an example of how not to embarrassingly overreact on the internet while under stress irl. I'm glad he realised how out of hand he was getting (threatening lawsuits lol) and pulled back and apologized. Since both Queen and Eschergirls have dropped the thing though, I have sympathy for him even if he was a douchebag.

His version is that he was in the middle of a mental breakdown. However, in my read he made a honest apology and took full responsibility for the mess.

Seriously. Yet we're never going to hear the end of it from people that had no stake in it.

When someone falsely uses a law to stifle public criticism, then we all have a stake in it. His actions made us have a stake in it.

+1. I'm glad he apologized and backed down, but that doesn't mean we can't say "this shouldn't happen".

He may have apologized and that's all well and good, but how he went about it -much less the fact he even attempted it in the first place- is something that will stick with his name for a long time. Especially in this day and age. Just look up 'Randy Queen' on Google or any search engine, and the Escher Girls/DMCA fiasco dominates most of the results. Such is the nature of things.
