IANAD, but this sounds maybe a little like strabismus/lazy eye? Has anybody else seen you when this is happening, and would be able to tell you if your eyes were pointing in the same direction? Is it always one side's vision that replaces your binocular vision?

I feel like it's my left eye vision that shifts over more than my right, but the phenomenon is not exclusive to that eye. I just get super paranoid and anxious about vision things, because going blind is like my worst nightmare. I'd rather lose taste, smell and hearing COMBINED than lose my sight.
