(Anonymous) 2014-08-15 01:56 am (UTC)(link)Is it, though? My experience with self-identifying radfems (mostly Dalyites and Dworkinists at my college) was that the conversation didn't really run to doors and related etiquette very much at all.
The only time I can remember hearing radfems complain about door opening is in the context of jokes about what people think feminists do all day. But this was in the early-to-mid nineties, so it's possible the door thing has become a kind of reanimated strawman, taking on a life of its own. I'd be curious to see where you've encountered it lately.
