I'm perfectly fine with blood in real life, too - but, I don't think it's that unusual. A drawing is very different for real life, especially if it's manga-style.

I have no problem watching the most gruesome horror movies but turn on the television and they are doing a show on surgery and showing someone actually being cut into and I'm turning that channel so fast.

Same thing with true crime shows like 48 Hours. Those shots of real life crime scenes of bodies with the faces blurred send me running out of the room.

But a show like Hannibal? No problem. Bring the gore.

Gore I can handle, it's those massive fucking disproportionate eyes that unsettle the hell out of me.

Yeah, I enjoy really gory fiction in various forms but have been known to faint at the sight of real blood. Most fictional gore looks pretty unrealistic anyway.
