It was the friend/co-robber that said he surrendered. He lied about how/when he met up with the victim, so there's no reason to believe the rest of the story isn't partially lies as well.

What, and the multiple eye-witness that say the guy had his hands up in the air after already being wounded are in on it too?

If the motto in this area is "snitches get stitches," there's a possibility those witnesses are lying. It's not that they'd be in on it, but that they feel the need to lie due to the reality of where they live.

And that's fodder for a whole other discussion about racism and poverty and what it does to people.

They can't be trusted when cops are involved. Not in neighborhoods like that.

This isn't trolling. There's documented cases of this. They lie to and about the police because it's a complete "Us vs them" mentality.

the cops in this area are pretty fucked up themselves and that's on record for sure, both sides are in an us vs them mentality at this point and bad shit always happens when that happens.
