Yeeeees. I've started watching Switched At Birth, and I'm already expecting it to turn into this. Not sure if it's worth continuing, to be honest.

Switched at Birth is absolutely HORRIBLE about this. Every single fucking conflict between people that could happens happens in that show. I finally gave up around the beginning of season 2 because I started to hate Daphne and the horrible choices she was making. And from what I hear she's only gotten worse. Bay was supposed to be the troublemaker but she's actually turned out to be pretty good while Daphne who seemed like the "good child" shoes is really really not.
