Really hate this, as the shows frequently have no sense of balance about it. Relationships, whether friendly, familial, or romantic, can have ongoing conflicts without each one being the DOOM PORTENT OF DESTRUCTION STAY TUNED FOR IF EVERYTHING GOES TO HELL. They imagine there's a tension there that really isn't if nobody's gonna die because Jesse and Samantha are having a tiff.
