Re: Asian dramas

I really liked "Shinigami-kun" - it's a fairly short drama about a Shinigami whose job it is to go to people who are going to die soon and help them with things they need to do before death to find closure. It's a nice mix of cute, funny and sad. (I actually didn't expect to like it so much.)

If you like romantic school drama, I thought the Korean drama "Reply 1994"(or "Answer me 1994") was a nice one.

An interesting Korean high school drama without much romance, concentrating more on the problems the teachers and students face, is "School 2013".

If you're also into crime shows, "Mozu" is an interesting Japanese drama, but it's a little.. uh "grittier" than the average drama. A bit more on the lighter side (and more of a police procedural) is "Smoking Gun" - but I don't know if that's completely subbed yet.

A mix of mystery/crime and high school drama: "White Christmas". It's a little predictable and I didn't like the ending too much, but it's a fairly entertaining drama nontheless.
