Re: Why do people like gen fic

" the only people who think romance isn't the most important part of life are people who can't get a date and have sour grapes"

Or people who are... you know...asexual or something.

Romance isn't all there is. That's a fact. Hell I've got a boyfriend and I've been in love /crushed at least...3 times now and even I get this. There is more to life than just romance.

Romantic relationships aren't the only way to develop your characters or "actualize" them. Just about any character testing conflict can do that. Your character can be tested by having to choose between their best friends and their family for example. Romance isn't the ONLY way to do this.

There's nothing wrong with people writing about something other than romance every now and then. Also, some people just don't care about romance. It's not that they are sour about it, it's that they're not interested.

You look pretty damn stupid stating such childish things ("you're only sour about it because you're bitter nah-nah") as fact and something "everyone knows".
