As a marketing student I find it insanely interesting just how successful the whole campaign has been. I've been taking notes on how to do SM marketing right. Also seeing that it's achieved its goal of raising awareness and donations is remarkable.

What's most intriguing is how willing celebrities are to contribute if it's 1) for a good cause 2) requires very little work to do the call to action (bucket, ice, water, go!) and 3) publicly challenge their friends to do it too. I think the challenging is what's really getting them into it. Almost like a digital water fight. It's great!
