Re: Time Management Part 2

I'mna simplify this in the extreme. There is a lot of day-to-day variance, but overall I'd say my day (as in a block of 24 hours) looks something like this:

-6 hours spent sleeping
-10 hours spent working/school/both
-6 hours in fandom
-2 hours for everything else

Now, I say this is an average for a reason. If I have a day off but haven't had enough time to plan anything with my friends, then I'll spend the whole fucking day doing fandom stuff. Conversely, I might spend days without going near fandom if I'm working a lot, have a lot of schoolwork, etc. Often, I'll spend days spending all 8 hours that aren't work or sleep in fandom, and then I'll set aside a few days to visit my boyfriend, go out with friends, etc.

Having an iPod touch (smart phone, for most people) can help with this because one thing I regularly did was load a fanfic onto my iPod while I was still in a WiFi area and then read while on the bus to school, or in a class where I already knew the material. Also, I carry my laptop for school, which means I also read and wrote fanfic (often in class). Or, I have a notebook just for writing fanfic in, so I write things by hand when I don't have/can't use a device of some sort.

Also, this was rarely in consistent blocks. i.e. at school, I would have some classes in the morning, spend the afternoon doing fandom things (laptop, school computer, other device, by hand, etc.), then back to classes in the evening.
