Marvel Studios is a subdivision within Disney that's in charge of making all the Marvel films. But, like, I'm pretty sure they're the unit that actually goes in and makes the films, albeit under the ultimate ownership and supervision of Disney, so I believe they would have been in charge of making casting decisions.

Aaaaahhh, so Disney mostly left them alone. Interesting. I thought they would have put their hands into it more.
