I'm so glad I read this book and saw the show before I came across all the really intense Elphaba/Glinda shippers. I would have been so disappointed in it if I had been influenced by them to expect more from their relationship than I got.

Well, her being a woman isn't the point of the film so I don't think you're really missing the point of Frozen. I think one of the only Disney films where genderswapping the main character would be flat out missing the point is if you only like genderswapped Mulan.

Yes, I agree! They are each basically the embodiment of everything that the other has ever hated, especially Anders to Fenris. They seriously would be happy to see each other dead. I'm pretty sure they'd be happy to kill one another if it weren't for Hawke.

But I really don't see how anyone can possibly look past Anders being happy with selling someone back into slavery--who has never done anything to him or to hurt his cause, but whom he shares moral disagreements with--and think they'd ever want each other.

To a lesser degree, this is also how I feel about Morrigan and Alistair. Morrigan, in particular, I can't see ever "stooping" to do anything with someone she sees as stupid and useless as Alistair.

This is an excellent take, imo, and makes a LOT of sense to me. I always felt there was chemistry between Janeway and Chakotay (though I admit I didn't watch the entire series to know why this might not have worked) and so I can certainly see Seven fitting in with those two.
