While I agree they legitimately hate each other, honestly, this is fandom, that doesn't mean they can never fuck and have hate!sex. Seriously. And some shippers actually are interested in *gasp* building their relationship, starting from a point where they hate each other and develop it gradually into a pairing.

I'm indifferent to the pairing, but I like the idea of them hate!fucking. And I appreciate anyone's endeavor to build their relationship into friends or lovers. I don't see why this pairing draws such fury from people - I mean, you can assume that everyone who ships it just is shipping the two hot guys together or whatever, but the occasional fanfic I've read definitely goes beyond that.

Of course I absolutely agree that there isn't any "canon" basis, and that their hate moments really don't have any sexual tension or anything. But I'm not sure why that means people shouldn't ship them, or fill in the blanks with stories however they like.
