Doctor Who

From watching the random Who episodes this marathon week, I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Capaldi on Saturday. But my gut feeling says I like the trailers more than the prospect of watching an actual episode. I know it sounds weird, but since I've backed off DW fandom I can't seem to muster enthusiasm. Maybe if I just look forward to watching the show instead of the fandom, it'll be better?

I've never really been super into Doctor Who, but I'm super excited for Capaldi's Doctor. I dunno, his Doctor seems more aloof and a bit of an ass.

...to the OP, I'm waiting till Moffat is a thing of the past, before I give Twelve a try. I'm still burned about the retcon, tbqh.

I only mustered enthusiasm after seeing parts of the Doctor Who Tour in NYC, so I understand where you're coming from. I'll watch this season but I'm not sure how to feel. Maybe I'll just go through the backlog of old Who.

Ignoring the fandom, at least to some degree, always helps me enjoy things more.
