Though, depending on my mood I will accept lesser quality fic. Like, right now none of the SG-1 fic I've read is really hitting any of my buttons (I think it just may be the ship-- I'm not really that into Jack/Daniel, which is what I've been reading, and I don't ship Jack with Sam AT ALL), but I've been out of it with this sinus thing for over a week so I'm pretty easy to entertain right now.

Question: have you tried non-shippy team!fic or rarer pairings?

I'll get to it eventually. I'm just super lazy and J/D seems to be the main pairing so I'm pulling from what's easily accessible.

I'm like that too. It's that there's just a quality line I can't cross, it seems.

And that's sad to hear about SG1. I like Sam/Jack but I never did care for the fic so after a few tries I gave up on reading romance fic in that fandom. (I tried other ships too.) Maybe you can ask for recs? Someone on F!S might have something you like.
